Gwen: (Sobs) Oh! The job is so different from what I have thought. I can’t do it! I can’t stand it! I want to quit!
SCENE V
At Gwen’s home
Gwen: I can’t believe this. Darn! How stupid I was. It‘s disgusting. (Gwen’s still crying.)
Mom: What’s wrong with you, honey?
Gwen: It’s terrible. I don’t know how to tell you.
Father: What’s the problem? Tell us.
Gwen: I got a part-time job the other day. And today was my first day of work. I thought they just want me to be a
performer, singing some songs and dancing for other people. But the customers there harassed me. They were
evil. They touched me and it made me feel awful. I couldn’t do it, so I ran away.
Mom: What? Why did you choose this kind of jobs? Are you blind? Are you that stupid?
Father: Calm down, both of you! You have to remember this experience. You should be careful when you choose a job.
Didn’t I tell you that?
Mom: If you have troubles finding a job, we’ll help you look for one from the Internet or newspapers.
Father: It’s O.K. now. Stop it.
Gwen: Thank you so much, Mom and Dad. I love you.
Mom: We love you, too, honey. J
