illness sickness简介：Beijing 2011. Guitarist Xiao Nan and drummer Xu Sen returned from England after years of studying abroad. China's capital is in a state of perpetual motion. Constant, relentless change. The music scene is no exeption. New bands, new clubs and new musicians form a melting pot of creativity. Beijing is the epicentre of China’s growing music scene; the countries undeniable musical capital.

The pair quickly start jamming and writing. Through random meetings they are joined by bass player Tom, and the pieces slowly fall into place. Epic daily practice sessions and hastily planned gigs ensue, and the band slowly finds its sound.

The result is refreshing in a city flooded with musical copycats. The first shows were a revelation, showing a songwriting patience that younger groups don’t possess, and a mass of sound that three piece acts rarely produce. Those early gigs unleashed a driving ambition towards better, more unique music, and made Illness Sickness even more keen to go back to the practice room and write new songs. The results will be displayed in China’s rock clubs in the months to come. For the moment, take a listen to the bands demos and expect new songs soon.
